Fall scones: Pumpkin

These spiced pumpkin scones are the perfect Fall treat! They’re soft, fluffy, and full of pumpkin flavor.

All-purpose Flour Brown Sugar Salt Pumpkin Pie Spice Baking Powder Unsalted Butter Heavy Cream Egg Pure Vanilla Extract Pumpkin Puree Turbinado Sugar  Powdered Sugar Milk

Step 1: Whisk together the all-purpose flour, brown sugar, salt, pumpkin pie spice, and baking powder. Add grated frozen butter to the flour mixture. Mix until you have pea-sized flour crumbs.

Step 2: In a bowl add the heavy cream, egg, vanilla, and pumpkin puree. Whisk to combine. Add the cream mixture to the flour. Mix together until combined.

Step 3: Shape into an 8-disk. Use a sharp knife to cut the disk into 8 wedges. Place wedges on a baking sheet. 

Step 4: Brush tops with heavy cream. Sprinkle the top with turbinado sugar. Bake for 20-25 minutes until lightly golden.

Step 5: Add powdered sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and milk to a small bowl. Combine then drizzle the glaze onto your cooled scones.
